Head Of Operations – London based

Purpose

Reporting directly into the CEO, your role will be pivotal in helping the business work efficiently and collaboratively. You will be regularly liaising with the senior management team globally, managing various stakeholder relationships, and participating in decision making processes.

You will take ownership for the operational flow through the business, formulating strategy to maximise efficiencies business-wide, looking at the effectiveness of existing processes and practices, and streamlining and improving where needed.

The successful candidate will be a proactive problem solver, solution oriented, and driven, someone who is always looking to push things forward. An excellent communicator and relationship builder at all levels, you will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in virtual events, creative or technology sector.

Key responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of the business, proposing new ideas and growth strategies
  • Looking at the effectiveness of processes and initiating continuous improvement and streamlining initiatives to ensure the business is as agile as possible, promoting information flow company wide
  • Foster growth within the business by streamlining practices and improving speed to market to maximise sales and achieve financial targets
  • Minimise impact on the business by foreseeing potential issues, and proactively problem solving, ensuring smooth and swift service delivery
  • Take ownership of various operational projects as required by the business
  • Working alongside the CEO to track profitability and creating reports to monitor progress of these

Experience and attributes

  • At least 5 years’ experience within a Head of Operations/Operations Director role
  • Experience within the B2B communications or digital sectors
  • A high level of numeracy and analytical ability
  • Results driven
  • Excellent communicator and relationship builder at all levels, both internally and  externally – a natural people person with a positive approach
  • Highly organised and an excellent multi-tasker, with the ability to manage multiple  projects and deadlines simultaneously
  • Hands-on, team player
