Production Manager - APAC

Purpose

The Production Manager, APAC is responsible for managing all aspects of our client’s pre-production, production and post-production needs.  With relevant training, you will be proficient in the delivery of all aspects of hybrid and virtual event live streaming with minimal technical support.  In addition to ‘live’ production management, you will be confident in providing clients with pre-sales consultative advice for our industry-leading video capture and content delivery platforms. The role is ideally suited for someone with at least 3 years of relevant industry experience. A hunger for learning new technology and the ability to absorb information quickly and put it into practice is essential. Fluent English and Cantonese and/or Mandarin language skills would be a distinct advantage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee operations of live production in the Asia Pacific region
    ● Manage and expand our production partner network
    ● Establish working relationships with clients, supporting them in the development, implementation, and execution of live streaming, hosted video content and user generated content (UGC)
    ● Handle project budgets, prepare permits and documents, assist in daily production tasks and ensure production schedules are met
    ● Operate or supervise vMix vision mixer for live streaming events
    ● Act as the Producer for live streaming events
    ● Provide Sales overlay for the wider Sales team as a pre-sales solution consultant for new business opportunities
    ● Oversee regional video editing requirements
    ● Escalate more complex technical issues to appropriate parties (internal/external) in a timely manner and contribute to the technical investigations as required

Essential Skills:

  • Proven skills in project management and event management
  • Ability to find, qualify, and manage external vendors
  • Experience creating project briefs, technical documents, run sheets
  • Experience creating and managing event budgets
  • Good knowledge of vMix vision mixing / media streaming software (or equivalent)
  • Good knowledge of video streaming protocols (RTMP, SRT, NDI)
  • Good knowledge of event comms
  • Good knowledge of event audio mixing and routing, troubleshooting feedback, echo, etc.
  • Knowledge of computer hardware functionality and troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of MS Operating Systems (Windows 10) and troubleshooting
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to perform tasks in high pressured situations
  • Analytical with supreme problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent workload management and work prioritisation skills
  • Calm and professional under pressure
  • A true & people person with exceptional approach to customer service (particularly with high profile customer groups)

Desirable Skills:

  • Basic knowledge of Network protocols and troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of optimising digital media for streaming (audio / video codecs, frame rates, aspect ratio, resolutions settings)
  • Video editing package (Premiere, Final Cut Pro, Davinci Resolve)
  • Working knowledge of Amazon cloud services (AWS)
  • Working knowledge of Unity Intercom
  • Basic knowledge of H.323/SIP Enabled devices

Hybrid working, a supportive and developmental approach to getting to know wtv. and vice versa during your settling in period. We finish early for summer hours each Friday from July to August, and we support volunteering with paid time off.

Additional Information

This role will include international travel to company sites and client locations.  Additional hours of work will be required on occasion to meet the needs of our customers.
